Modern Town House Interior Design and Living
The modern town house interior design calls for a different set of rules compared to terrrace houses, semi-detached and bungalows. The modern town house comes with their own recreational facilities such as swimming pools, landscaped garden, gymnasium and a clubhouse.
Featured here is one such development by Far East known : The Springhill. Located at the northern suburbs , The Springhill Development is a notably one of the more successful modern town houses built in Singapore.
The architecture of a modern town houses although often the structure of two-and three-stories similiar in form to a terrace house, requires alot more creative space planning and interior design. In most of this town houses due to narrowness of the site and the plot you do not have the flexibility of knocking down walls to recreate interior spaces. Hence the design and architecture for this modern town houses could be both challenge and delight for interior designers.

The living and dining is integrated into a single space at ground level with the kitchen most commonly located at the ground level.
Master Bedroom
The bedrooms are traditionally located on the second floor for added privacy.
The guest bedroom are located at mid levels with the common bathroom and in some cases are moved to the basement together with the garage.
The bathrooms are consequently located at mid levels and attached for the master bedroom.
