Modern Contemporary Design and Living

Open Concept Living

Interior Designer Norman Yeo transforms a sprawling old apartment into a elegant modern contemporary design luxury home.

Norman Yeo from One Stop Concept applied his years of experience and an eye for details to create a home with uncompromising standard. Existing walls wore torn down and the spaces were reconfigured to meet the owners request for a open concept living.

The floor in the entrance foyer is laid with polished Crema Marfil tiles from Spain against similiar coloured walls to widen the visual space. The owners interest in antique carpets is evident and blends in well with One Stop Concept’s  modern contemporary design for the interiors.

The open concept living and dining areas have a cosy atmosphere with the use of beige and white colour as the base. The living room is stylishly decked out in a range of sleek  designer accoutrements  from crisp white Knoll Barcelona day bed and Arne Jacobsen’s egg chair, sofas from B&B Italia, to the low seated armchairs from Casamilano.

More artworks from the owner’s private collection adorn the walls in the dining room, including a Picasso at the far end of the hall. A Murano glass chandelier graces the ceiling of the dining hall above the custom designed dining table.

The frosted glass sliding door adjacent to dining room leads to a streamlined dry kitchen with a marble top island. The glass support on one end of the island simulates the floating effect.

The two metal sliding doors with special filigree cut opens into the private corridor leading to the bedrooms. The white strip painted walls on the right concealed doors for the  linen closets offering extensive storage spaces for the family.

The master bedroom design focal point is the large tapestry that sets the tone for the modern contemporary design and living in this area. With beige curtains and antique rugs, the master bedroom has commanding views of the nearby greenery and landscapes.

The master bathroom is large and roomy with ample space and glass vanity with granite basins. The The led lighing behind the vanity and mirror provides just enough lighting to set the tone for a modern contemporary design.

The spacious balcony with an impressive water feature accentuates  the serenity of the surrounding lush greenery with sounds of water. Clear views of the landscapes can be enjoyed without obstruction.
