This petite showflat balances boldness and character with a modern minimalist interiors typical of a New York apartment. At just 500 square feet of of living space this two bedroom in Joo Chiat area Singapore is modelled after a chic minimalist New York apartment theme. The design team from Su Misura , rather limited for space relied on imaginative design features to work on your fantasies to create a visual expanse and vibrant personality.
In the living room a large black carpet rug complemented in contrast by a smooth edge vinyl finish coffee table adds texture and sensual softness to this clean line space. The coffee table is a brilliant space saver for this small apartment by doubling up as a a ottoman for extra seating for guest, by removing the glass top. For a touch of edgy New York feel the vinyl wallpaper covering , typically used in New York style lofts, is used for the wall feature. The wall paper stretches up to the balcony to provide that extra illusion of space.
The dining space is moved to the balcony where a dramatic pendant light takes the centre stage. Curtains instead of roller blinds were used to provide softness and visual depth to the space.
Instead of solid walls , a tempered glass screen separates the master bedroom from the living room. The low console is a perfect solution to place a TV or decorative stylings.
